So what is a HonkyPimp and who are they? Unfortunately they're all around us. America seems to be overrun with people who claim to be important yet contribute little, get paid a lot and occupy too much space in our public consciousness. We needed a phrase that accurately captured this depraved syndrome of political self-loathing, since only self-loathing would permit us to tolerate these morons in the first place. So here are some examples.
The lobbyist who bought your candidate...You didn't actually think your vote mattered did you?
The talent-less, overpaid ex-staffer...How badly do you want to drop kick these people in the head?
Professional talking heads who complain about anything..."I spent the last 5 minutes making some other talking head jerk-off more famous than me."
The politician who's idea of constituent services is riding on a lobbyists' private jet...After all they've got to make that tee time in Scotland before the ethics committee votes to increase their salary.
So if you're stuck under the thumb of a HonkyPimp somewhere, you may not be able to do much about it...but at least you can have some fun at their expense. It's time to scorn the idiocy!
